Airbus Latin America closes 2018 with very positive Services Sales results
With the arrival of a fully dedicated regional team, Airbus Services Sales in Latin America saw a 74 percent increase in orders last year, as compared to 2017.
The year's best seller was the Airbus FHS (Flight Hour Services) solution, which ranges from component supply and repair to full airframe maintenance by offering customized proposals to customers.
With FHS customers in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Argentina, the team is looking to continue its success into 2019.
The second largest revenue stream in 2018 came from Upgrade Services, particularly in the form of Airframe and System Upgrades. Airbus upgrades services range from mandatory mandates to upgrades that allow airlines to generate more revenue thanks to cabin and connectivity upgrades or changes to an aircraft specification allowing for improved payload.
Airbus subsidiaries SATAIR and NAVBLUE also saw revenues increase by 27% in 2018. SATAIR provides genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts distribution and offers an exhaustive and innovative multi-fleet service portfolio to OEMs and customers. NAVBLUE is dedicated to Flight Operations & Air Traffic Management Solutions and is rapidly growing its footprint in the region.
Airbus is also continuing its Digital expansion, already securing new Skywise Core customers to join the Skywise community of over 400 aircraft connected in the region. This year, customers are eager for the deployment of Skywise Predictive Maintenance with the aim to eliminate unpredicted tasks and maximize aircraft utilization.
